On Friday 16th September 2016, it was announced that Women4Africa emerged as winners at the National diversity Awards in the category of ‘Community Organisation in Gender’.
The National diversity Awards is the UK’s most diverse and inclusive awards for all gender faith and ethnicity. This year’s 2016 Awards was held in Liverpool. With over 20,000 nominations received this year alone.
Team Women4Africa were elated as the news circulated through social media. Indeed it’s a time of celebration knowing that our service is being recognised and celebrated.
Though the founders of Women4Africa could not attend due to a bereavement, they were excited.
“To think that we won amongst such fierce and credible competition is mindblowing. We are so grateful and feel uniquely energised to achieve even more. Thank you so much”. Sam & Tola Onigbanjo (Founders).
There are three statements that describe the joy we feel knowing this prestigious award has been awarded to us.
The power of Vision
The power of teamwork
The power of creativity and persistence.
