- If you could change one thing about what you do to make it have a greater impact, what would it be?
I would love to step into the African market and help make an impact on the African youths. That is one of my future goals.
- When life throws you challenges, how do you handle them?
I get to a STILL place in my mind, say a prayer and get my thoughts realigned with what the solutions I would love to see. I have experienced that I never solve a problem in a panic or overwhelmed state. I must calm down before I am able to make any sense of the situation at hand.
- How would you encourage more women to live out their dreams?
I would encourage more women to stop seeking approval before they live out their dreams. Be prepared that not everyone will understand your dreams and that is okay because your dreams were not given to others, there were given to you. Believe more in your capabilities and love yourself for who you are.
- Who would you say has been your inspiration and why?
My first inspiration apart from God has been my Mum. She was and is still dependable rock to me. She made a very selfless decision not to remarry after my dad died many years ago and dedicated her life bringing up my 3 sisters and I with so much love and warmth. She worked hard and was always very forgiving. She taught me without realising it, the strength to have during adversity and showed us every day that our lives are not complete without God. Lol! I could go on and on about her.
Outside my family has been Oprah (yes I have admired her from a distance and have learnt a lot from her) . Why? She is so comfortable being her and that is exactly the way I am as well. She runs her own race and helps people along the way. That’s my philosophy as well. She is amazing.
- What is the one thing you love most about Africa?
The one thing that I love about Africa is the Tenacity, Confidence and Strength that many Africans have. I love them.
