Dr Fiona Bartels-Ellis OBE is Global Head of Equal Opportunity and Diversity at the British Council, the UK’s principal cultural relations organisation. In this role she sets and drives the strategic direction of equality and diversity across the organisation’s offices in 110 countries and territories.
Fiona’s long professional journey has included the private sector in the Eastern Caribbean and social work practice and management in different local authorities, with roles as an adoption and a fostering panel member and Chair of a sickle cell anaemia fostering panel. It has also included roles in social work education as a senior lecturer leading a Masters in Advanced Social Work at the University of Westminster and leading a range of qualifying courses for professional social workers to develop their skills in teaching social work students.
Fiona has undertaken varied social work and equality and diversity consultancy assignments and made contributions to new developments led by government bodies and others. For example, in 2000 she was a Health and Welfare task force member of the 2000 Commission on the Future of Multi-Ethnic Britain.
Sam Onigbanjo, is the author of 37 Business Thoughts, and 98 Business Thieves. Business books that are currently buzzing in the “Entrepreneur circuit.”
He is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Marketing, at the time of his election he was one of the youngest Africans ever to become a fellow in 2006. An expert business communicator and coach. Sam has successfully delivered multiple, million pound public sector contracts in the UK. With his Wife Tola he is the Founder and Conveyor of the largest and most successful African Awards event in the UK. A strong public speaker and passionate advocate for Africa and African development. Sam also strikes a cord as a conveyor and networker amongst key leaders and Influencers.
With over 20 years commercial experience in marketing and business development Sam is at home in Business.
In 2014 Sam was recognised as one of the one hundred most Influential Nigerians in the UK at the Nigerian Centenary Awards, presided over and signed by the Nigerian High Commissioner to the UK ,His Excellency Dr Dalhatu Tafida and Mark Simmonds MP, Minister for Africa.
In March 2015, He was also recognised as on the one hundred most Influential Africans in the UK, at the House of Commons, at the African Achievers Awards. Hosted by Rt.Hon Sir Gerald Kaufman,MP for Manchester.
In August 2015, He was Invited as a Speaker and panelist at the 7th Annual Nigeria diaspora day, the first ever to be held in the State House Abuja, otherwise known as Aso Rock, he later had an audience with the Vice-President , His Excellency Professor Yemi Osibajo.

She has practiced medicine for 15yrs since qualifying as a doctor at the University of Lagos. She has practised in various capacities, starting with hospital medicine and then on to primary care.
Dr Alabi has been in healthcare leadership through her training days. In the last 5years, she has helped manage a health budget of 250million pounds. She is currently Clinical Director for Maternity, children and families and also Vice chair of the organisation.
She has been involved in hospital reviews and reorganisations to help deliver better quality and more effective outcomes for patients.
Her passion is Healthcare in Africa. With the increasing trend of Health tourism outside the continent, Dr Alabi is working in collaboration with partners to help Health systems improve care provided to their patients and making Africa a world class Health destination.
Temitope Olodo is an expert in Preventive Terrorism, a Diaspora Analyst and a Public Policy Strategist based in the United Kingdom. One of Africa’s foremost diaspora security experts in Europe and a subject matter expert on Boko Haram
Temitope, worked for Her Majesty’s Government in many sensitive strategic roles including the Office for Security and Counter Terrorism (OSCT) managing de-radicalisation projects aimed at vulnerable youths attracted to Al-Qaeda doctrines; Community Engagement Consultant for London 2012 Olympics, managing Cross-Border Crime Project; Equality & Diversity Adviser in the former Office of the Deputy Prime Minister; Assistant Director in UK Border Agency. Also, he served as a Special Police Constable with the Kent Police.
Temitope is an author of 8 books and a regular guest on radio/TV programmes providing commentary on security and Nigerian national matters. In addition, Temitope the British born- Nigerian is the recipient of GAB’s award on Security. He holds two bachelor degrees in Political Science (BSc) and Law (LLB), a postgraduate qualification in Employment Law as well as a Master Degree (MSc) in Human Resources.
